How to Play Blackjack Online and Earn Money

Many have heard and many have known that Blackjack is one game where it is possible to win. All you have to know is how to count cards; this system was made available to the public in the 1960s. However since then only a very few people have beaten the casinos for the big win. This is mainly because very few people have the patience or the concentration to count the cards or the capital to make this effective. So spend a little time to learn how to play this game right and you will last a lot longer in the casinos the next time.

The Blackjack Basics

Blackjack is played with the international standard 52 card deck. The cards denominated 2 to 10 are worth their face value, whereas kings, queens, jacks are each worth 10 points and the Ace can be considered either 1 or 11. The main objective is to draw cards totalling to 21.

At the very beginning of the game the player and the dealer have 2 cards each, while both the cards on the players end are dealt face up; one card at the dealer’s end is kept face down (the hole card). The best possible deal of a Blackjack game at the player’s end is an ace with a 10 pointer card. This is called a natural 21 or a Blackjack. In this case the player automatically wins the game unless the dealer has so too. In case the dealer has a Blackjack all the other players not holding one lose. It’s Time for a Showdown

In case the dealer goes kaput all the other players remaining in the game can go for a victory lap. Or the players with points more than the dealer win. All the winners win the bet plus half the original wager; this is considered a bonus amount.

The side rules- beside the main rules there are several other intricate side rules of the same game. This opens the doors for other betting strategies that can maximize the favourable chances for the players. Let us find out more about these side rules – or just try your luck in blackjack right away here:

If the dealer’s face-up card is an Ace then the players get a chance to bet whether the dealer has a Blackjack or not. The winning will be paid at the odds of 2:1 and the strategy guides advice against taking this wager.

In case you have a hand worse than the dealer, you can surrender the hand and reclaim half your bet. At many casinos in case the dealer has a Blackjack, no surrenders are allowed and you will lose your entire bet amount. This can be negated only if you have a Blackjack as well, which now becomes a push and this side rule variation is known as late surrender.

If you get two starting cards of the same face value then you will have a chance to split the hand in two. Then you can place another bet of the same value as the original and then play on with two hands. You can even opt for splitting two 10 point cards even if they do not form a pair. As soon as you split the hand, the dealer will hit you with two different cards for each hand. Now although the probabilities are very slim, if you get yet another pair some casinos will allow you to split that and play with 4 hands, while others will not. Now each of your hands will be treated separately, that is, you will be allowed to keep playing with one hand till you stand or bust and then start with the other hand. Now if you split aces, you will be dealt a second card to each hand, but will not be allowed to take any further cards.

Doubling Down

You can always double your bet in case you are sure that your hand is better than the dealer’s. In most places you can double down on any hand, while some prefer an opening hand of 11, 10 or 9. It should be mentioned that not all of the blackjack games have the double down option – you can always check it here:
